Hmm.. this is all rather deja vu-ish. I can't remember where I last saw something similar being discussed. Anyway, in my opinion, which is based upon my own experiences/encounters with all 3 stereotyped labels, there are subtle differences amongst them, especially where contexts of usage is concerned.A 'mugger' is typically used to describe a person who is exceedingly studious. If I am not mistaken, this label is only used in the Singaporean context for this particular meaning. Muggers in the West are the sort of people you would not want to encounter in the streets, especially late at night. A 'nerd' on the other hand brings to mind the stereotype of a rather bookish person who is socially inept and isn't inclined towards physical exertions of most kinds. Muggers may also be nerds. But there are also athletes who 'mug' a lot and may judiciously be called 'muggers'. A 'geek', much like a nerd, may also have poor social skills although this is not the distinguishing feature of a geek these days. Nowadays, we refer to people who display an inordinate amount of interest in stuff like computers, reading comics or watching fanboy TV serials or erm.. collect action figures as geeks.There are obviously overlaps in all three despite the differences. A person may well fit the bill of being a geekish, nerdish mugger. At the end of the day though, I think we should all be aware that such labels are really just social constructs which have little reality in themselves. And like most stereotypes, they obfuscate and distort more than they inform.

Ms XXX always gives us work every single time we have lessons with her.
Is this a ritual or what.
Cos' we can practise math on our own, tyvm, at our own timing, instead of rushing us.
You know math is not exactly our best subject.
But maybe you should try motivating us, instead of making it COMPULSARY to finish homework, or else 1 demerit.
Its unfortunate enough that the word 'demerit' has the first 5 letters of my name in it already.
But why homework?!
Tsk.
School life is so complicated.
I'd rather have no-pay leave (if i'm working) than an MC.
Even i want to fall sick also cannot.
Aiyor, i seriously want to just fall into a deep slumber and get a good whole days worth of sleep.
